Northern Lights by Angela Fisher
It’s a blueprint diamond sky
A night full of piercing, hallowing cries
Her breath escapes into the air
It’s dark yet beautiful inside her stare
She walks with skin drenched in mist
A poison she exudes inside clenched fists
Divine and sacred is her bleeding heart
Colors that drip, forming immaculate art
She shouts into the open space
Numb from the tears that stain her face
The horizon beams with glistening tones
As whirling wind chills her aching bones
She’s here at the edge of nothingness
Inhaling the pure cold as an open kiss
Leave her alone, she needs to rest
Her skin can no longer be undressed.
Angela has been writing since the age of eight. Poetry and creative non-fiction are her strong suits. She had a poem published when she was 14 called, “Sun vs. Moon.” She gets inspiration from all around her. “It’s easier to write about pain and beauty when you have experienced them both.”
