A 2019 Thanksgiving by Mike Clark

Gathering on the edge of winter’s freeze,
meeting family and friends at Applebee’s.
Blessed for jobs even if we are displeased,
eating around the table at Black-eye Peas.

May we be generous and kind all throughout,
thankful for our health as we scarf down at In-N-Out.
Show kindness to every Tom, Dick, and Sally,
remembering to tip at the Hungry Howie.

We share in gratitude for the food we ate,
we divide up the check at Steak ’n Shake.
May faith and virtue keep us strong,
we all belch together after Papa Johns.
